Electric Lime

Lime green is... a color of summer. Certainly not shy, but fresh and confident. Grounded. Fun. And challenging.

It makes a statement...

The late spring viburnum opulus demonstrates the that red and green do not have to mean Christmas holiday! The dash of purple sets a quiet contrast.

Congratulations to Julia Dobbs for correctly guessing the flower names in last Friday's Flower Closeups contest. The answers were white oleander for #10 and white lavender for #11. Your book is on its way!

I made the switch! My blog's new name is Rose et Lis (rose and lily), which is much more suitable to how my blog is evolving. While I'll continue to post all things paint and plaster, I will also include my love for flowers and gardening.

What do you think?

  1. What do I think? Hi Ann, I love your new header. And I love the new green. You may have started something. There was way too much turquoise in the last 2 years.

  5. Lovely post... I am a girlie of the 70's and really didn't care if I EVER saw lime again, but I'm in love with it. So FRESH.

  6. Lime green is refreshing, the colour of new growth and all of the above mentioned so eloquently but does it top yellow as the colour of fun? Yellow and lime green together is fun! (my own opinion only!)
